Financial Arrangements

1. There is an expectation that students will be paid a wage of $10.00 per hour for forty hours a week ($400). The business or organization providing the internship is expected to pay half of this amount or $200.00 per week. In some cases the internship provider may provide the student housing during the internship and reduce the wages paid. This arrangement must be approved by the internship coordinator in consultation with the student and internship provider.

2. The Scholarship will pay (the student) $10 per hour for a maximum of 20 hours per week for as many as 13-14 consecutive weeks provided that the business or organization is located in Michigan. To receive this payment, the student must:

Complete MSU student employment paper
   [Student Employment Form].

Submit on a bi-weekly time sheet that is verified by the supervisor's
   signature [Bi-weekly Hours Worked Verification].

3. Failure on the part of the internship student to complete the above requirements will reduce the amount that they are paid for the internship.
